Old Growth Hunter
What was once a permanent fixture in old growth, American forest, great gray owls are now a species confined to small, remote and undisturbed regions. The disappearance of old growth forest through human encroachment, and the devastation of recent forest fires in the U.S., continue to push these largest of North American owls to dangerous levels of survival. Photo taken in Yellowstone National Park, USA.
